Local-First Smart Home
- (2026-06-04) - Reorganized the project write-up into a narrative overview with architecture, systems, and change-log subpages; added a hardware bill of materials, a network topology diagram, a Z-Wave vs Zigbee comparison, and remote-access (Nabu Casa) details.
- v0.9 (2026-06-03) - Added live propane-tank telemetry and folded it into the cost model; refined the local weather forecast and pressure-tendency alerting.
- (2026-06-02) - Label-driven per-device energy and cost tracking; responsive dashboard refactor; built the local weather subsystem.
- (2026-06-01) - Git-based configuration versioning went live; hardened notifications and away-gated indoor camera alerts.
- (2026-04 to 2026-05) - Extended research and refinement: design iteration, automation tuning, and planning the energy, weather, and reliability subsystems ahead of the late-May and June build-out.
- (2026-03) - Added the Z-Wave ZWA-2 coordinator with the Honeywell T6 Pro thermostat and Kwikset Home Connect 620 smart lock (early-to-mid March); dual-fuel climate and lock automations followed.
- (2026-01) - Added the Zigbee ZBT-2 coordinator and Third Reality smart plugs, the first quick win for household power automation.
- (2025-12) - Project kicked off with a local-first, privacy-focused design goal; acquired and set up the Home Assistant Green gateway.
